Look alive whensomeone checks.
Almost nobody hires a tradesperson because of a social post. Plenty decide against one because the profile has not been touched since last year. Social media is a trust check, not a sales channel — and it only fails you when it is neglected.
Someone checks your profile before they call, and quietly moves on.
They have your quote and one from someone else. They look you both up. One profile shows a finished bathroom from last week. The other shows a van photo from 2021 and a post about Christmas opening hours.
That is the whole mechanism. It is not about reach or engagement or growing a following. It is about not losing a job you had already won on price and quality.

Which platforms should I be on?
For most trades, two: Instagram and Facebook, plus a properly maintained Google Business Profile which matters more than either. Adding LinkedIn, TikTok and X because they exist just gives you four more places to look abandoned.
Will this bring me customers?
Directly, rarely. Indirectly, yes — it stops you losing jobs at the point where someone checks whether you look like a real, active business. We would rather tell you that plainly than sell it as a lead channel and disappoint you in month three.
What if I do not have good photos?
Then that is the first thing to fix, and it is easier than it sounds. We tell you exactly what to shoot on your phone — before, during, after, the same three angles every time. Ten minutes a job and you will never run short.
Do I have to approve every post?
Only if you want to. Most clients approve a month at a time, some leave it entirely to us once the tone is settled, and either is fine.
