Your website.Your name on it.
Ask most web companies who owns your domain and you will get a vague answer. It is usually vague for a reason. Ours is not: everything is registered to your business, you hold the logins from launch week, and you can walk away whenever you like.
The web company that will not give you your logins is not protecting you.
It is a common enough story that most trades have heard a version of it. The site was built years ago, the person who built it stopped replying, and now nobody can update the phone number because nobody knows who controls the domain. Sometimes there is a fee to find out.
None of that is technical. It is a business decision someone made at the start, and it is the reason we make the opposite one in writing before a project begins.
What being the owner actually means
Four steps, no surprises in the middle.
Agreed up front
Ownership is written into the proposal before anything starts, so there is nothing to argue about later.
In writing, before day one
Set up in your name
Domain on your registrar account, hosting account in your business name, from the moment the project begins.
Not transferred later — started that way
Handed over at launch
One document with every login and a short screen recording showing what each one is for.
Launch week
Yours from then on
Stay with us because the work is good. That is the only reason we want you to.
No lock-in, ever
The things people ask before they commit.
Who owns the domain and the website?
You do. The domain is registered on an account in your business name, the hosting account is in your name, and the files are yours. We do not hold any of it, and there is nothing you would need to ask our permission for.
What if I want to move to someone else?
We hand everything over, or move it for you, at no charge and with no notice period. A client who stays because leaving is difficult is not a client worth having, and a business built that way does not last.
Do I have to keep paying you after launch?
No. Monthly care covers updates, backups, security and monitoring, and it is genuinely optional — you can cancel any time or never start. Plenty of clients take the site and run it themselves, and we make sure they can.
What happens if something breaks and I am not on a monthly plan?
Message us. We will tell you what is wrong and what it would cost to fix, and if it is something small we will usually just sort it. You are not penalised for having said no to a retainer.
Your next customer is searching right now.
Message us what your business does and what you need. You'll get a straight answer on whether we can help and what it would cost — usually the same day, wherever you are.
