Win the three resultspeople call first.
For a local trade, the map results are often worth more than the website. They appear above everything else, they show your rating and your phone number, and most people never scroll past them.
Your listing exists. It is just not doing anything.
Most trade profiles are set up once, in a hurry, with one category, no services listed, three photos from 2019 and no posts. Google has very little to work with, so it ranks you accordingly.
A fully completed, actively maintained profile is one of the few pieces of local search work where the effort-to-result ratio is genuinely lopsided in your favour — and it costs nothing but attention.

Wire it to the site
Consistent details, matching schema, and area pages that support the listing rather than contradicting it.
Both pull in the same direction

The things people ask before they commit.
How long until I appear in the map results?
Profile changes often show within a few weeks, which makes this the fastest-moving local search work there is. Competitive categories in large cities take longer. Proximity to the searcher is weighted heavily, so you will always rank more easily near your actual address.
Do I need a physical address?
No. Service-area businesses can hide the address and define the towns they cover instead, which is the correct setup for most trades. What you do need is a real, verifiable business location for Google to confirm.
How many reviews do I need?
More than your competitors, and arriving steadily rather than in bursts. A trade business with 40 reviews gathered over two years outranks one with 60 that all appeared in the same fortnight.
Can you write reviews for me?
No. Fake reviews are illegal in the UK under the DMCC Act and in Ireland under consumer protection law, they breach Google's terms, and businesses do get their listings suspended for them. What we set up instead is a routine that makes real reviews easy to ask for and easy to leave.
